Tres muertos en nuevos enfrentamientos en un campamento palestino en Líbano
Dos combatientes y un civil murieron el sábado en nuevos enfrentamientos en un campamento de refugiados palestinos del sur del Líbano, según un medio oficial, una espiral de violencia de la que el primer ministro libanés culpó al presidente palestino Mahmud Abas.
Desde el jueves por la noche, grupos islamistas y combatientes de Fatah, la principal organización palestina, luchan en el campamento de Ain al-Helweh, en las afueras de la ciudad costera de Sidón.
Trece personas murieron en enfrentamientos similares que comenzaron a finales de julio.
Después de una noche relativamente tranquila, los combates se reanudaron el sábado en el campamento, matando a "una persona de Fatah" y a un militante islamista, dijo la agencia de noticias oficial libanesa NNA.
Otro hombre murió y varios resultaron heridos por balas perdidasc, añadió.
"Lo que está ocurriendo no beneficia en absoluto a la causa palestina y es una grave ofensa al Estado libanés" y a la ciudad de Sidón, declaró el primer ministro libanés, Najib Mikati, a Abas en una llamada telefónica el sábado, según informó su oficina en un comunicado.
Los enfrentamientos se centraron en un complejo escolar perteneciente a la agencia de la ONU para los refugiados de Palestina (UNRWA), según declaró a AFP una fuente de la dirigencia palestina bajo el pretexto de anonimato.
La UNRWA había advertido previamente de que militantes estaban ocupando sus escuelas en el campamento.
Ain al-Helweh es el más grande de los 12 campamentos de refugiados palestinos en el Líbano.
Allí viven 54.000 refugiados, entre ellos islamistas radicales y personas buscadas por la justicia para escapar de las autoridades libanesas.
