November-Zielmarke für Gasspeicherstände nahezu erreicht

Nach der Ankündigung der Öl exportierenden Staaten der Opec+-Gruppe, die Fördermenge im November deutlich zu reduzieren, sind in Deutschland die Dieselpreise wieder stark angestiegen. Die USA und Deutschland haben das zwischen Israel und dem Libanon getroffene Abkommen zur Grenzziehung im Mittelmeer gewürdigt. US-Präsident Joe Biden sprach am Dienstag von einem "historischen Durchbruch". "Die Regierungen Israels und des Libanon haben vereinbart, ihren Streit über die Seegrenze formell zu beenden." Biden rief zugleich beide Seiten auf, ihre Zusagen einzuhalten und "auf eine Umsetzung hinzuarbeiten".
Bundeswehr bereitet Einsatz von Heron-TP-Drohnen über Deutschland vor
Die Bundeswehr will im kommenden Jahr von Israel geleaste Drohnen vom Typ Heron TP zum Einsatz in Deutschland testen. Für die zweite Jahreshälfte 2023 sei "ein Demonstrationsbetrieb auf dem Standort Jagel" in Norddeutschland geplant, teilte das Bundesverteidigungsministerium auf Anfrage der "Süddeutschen Zeitung" (Mittwochausgabe) mit. Demnach will die Bundeswehr damit die Grundlagen schaffen, diese Drohnen künftig auch für Aufgaben in der Landes- und Bündnisverteidigung zu nutzen.

Der ukrainische Staatschef Wolodymyr Selenskyj hat die G7-Staaten aufgefordert, die Ukraine beim Aufbau eines Luftabwehrsystems gegen russische Angriffe zu unterstützen. Selenskyj wandte sich am Dienstag in einer Videokonferenz an die Staats- und Regierungschefs der G7-Staaten und rief sie auf, ihre Anstrengungen zu verstärken und "finanziell beim Aufbau eines Schutzschirms für die Ukraine zu helfen".

Als Reaktion auf einen Streik an französischen Raffinerien und Tanklagern will die Regierung in Paris nun Personal zum Dienst verpflichten. Die Nato hat nach Angaben von Generalsekretär Jens Stoltenberg ihre Präsenz in der Ost- und in der Nordsee nach der "Sabotage" an den Nord-Stream-Pipelines verdoppelt.
