Die EU-Kommission nimmt französische Staatshilfen für den Güterverkehr auf der Schiene unter die Lupe. Leistung von Windrädern an Land 2022 um rund vier Prozent gestiegen
Die Leistung aller Windkraftanlagen an Land hat im vergangenen Jahr in Deutschland nur leicht zugenommen. Im Vorjahresvergleich stieg die Gesamtleistung um 4,3 Prozent auf rund 58 Gigawatt, wie die Windenergiebranche am Mittwoch mitteilte. Neu errichtet wurden 551 Anlagen mit 2403 Megawatt Leistung.

Das teilte der Wohnungswirtschaftsverband GdW am Mittwoch auf der Grundlage einer Umfrage unter den sozial orientierten Wohnungsunternehmen mit. Von den ursprünglich geplanten 61.000 Wohnungen werden demnach also fast 20.000 weniger errichtet.

Zu Beginn der Grünen Woche in Berlin hat der Verbraucherzentrale Bundesverband (vzbv) die Bundesregierung zu "entschiedenen Schritten" aufgefordert, um eine Ernährungswende einzuleiten. Konkret pocht der vzbv auf eine strenge Regulierung von an Kinder gerichteter Lebensmittelwerbung, eine Abschaffung der Mehrwertsteuer auf Obst, Gemüse und Hülsenfrüchte sowie den Kampf gegen irreführende Klimaaussagen (Greenwashing) bei Lebensmitteln.

In Europa sind im vergangenen Jahr so wenig neue Autos verkauft worden wie zuletzt 1993. Der Absatz sank um 4,6 Prozent im Vorjahresvergleich auf rund 9,3 Millionen Fahrzeuge, wie der europäische Herstellerverband Acea in Brüssel am Mittwoch mitteilte. 1993, vor knapp 30 Jahren, hatte der Absatz bei 9,2 Millionen Neuwagen gelegen. Hauptgrund für die niedrigen Zahlen 2022 waren die Lieferengpässe.

Die Zahl der Baugenehmigungen ist auch im November stark zurückgegangen. Im Vergleich zum Vorjahresmonat wurden 16,3 Prozent weniger Bauanträge genehmigt, wie das Statistische Bundesamt in Wiesbaden am Mittwoch mitteilte. Prozessbeginn in Berlin nach Einschleusung von mehr als 1500 Leiharbeitern
Vor dem Berliner Landgericht hat ein Prozess gegen eine Schleuserbande begonnen, die Menschen aus Osteuropa mit gefälschten Papieren nach Deutschland holte und hier für wenig Geld arbeiten ließ. Die Staatsanwaltschaft wirft in ihrer am Dienstag verlesenen Anklageschrift den neun Beschuldigten im Alter zwischen 37 und 63 Jahren vor, mindestens 1534 Menschen eingeschleust zu haben. Zwei der Angeklagten sollen dadurch zusammen einen zweistelligen Millionenbetrag erlangt haben. Die neun Beschuldigten sind unter anderem wegen bandenmäßigen Einschleusens, Urkundenfälschung und Steuerhinterziehung angeklagt.

Trotz der diversen Krisen hat die Zahl der Aktionäre in Deutschland im vergangenen Jahr ein neues Rekordniveau erreicht. 12,9 Millionen Menschen hatten Geld in Aktien, Aktienfonds oder ETFs angelegt, erklärte das Deutsche Aktieninstitut am Dienstag. Das seien etwas mehr als im bisherigen Rekordjahr 2001 gewesen und rund 830.000 mehr Menschen als im Vorjahr. 18,3 Prozent der Bevölkerung ab 14 Jahren sind demnach am Aktienmarkt aktiv.

Die deutsche Industrie geht trotz der etwas entspannten Lage bei der Energieversorgung und den Lieferketten von großen wirtschaftlichen Herausforderungen im Jahr 2023 aus. Die Energie stehe dabei "ganz vorne", sagte der Präsident des Bundesverbandes der Deutschen Industrie (BDI), Siegfried Russwurm, am Dienstag in Berlin. Gassolidaritätsabkommen zwischen Deutschland, Schweiz und Italien im Gespräch
Angesichts der Energiekrise in Europa könnten Deutschland, die Schweiz und Italien bei einer Notlage in der Gasversorgung zusammenarbeiten. Bundeswirtschaftsminister Robert Habeck (Grüne) schlug bei einem Gespräch mit dem Schweizer Energieminister Albert Rösti am Rande des Weltwirtschaftsforums in Davos am Montagabend Gespräche über ein trilaterales Gassolidaritätsabkommen vor. Chinas Wirtschaft ist im vergangenen Jahr vor allem wegen der strikten Maßnahmen zur Bekämpfung der Corona-Pandemie nur um 3,0 Prozent gewachsen und damit deutlich unter der Zielmarke der Regierung in Peking geblieben. Die Staatsführung hatte ein Wachstum von 5,5 Prozent ausgegeben. Die 3,0 Prozent Wachstum sind der schwächste Wert seit 2020, als die Corona-Pandemie ausgebrochen war.

Mit den Befragungen der Gebäude- und Wohnungszählung für Bürgerinnen und Bürger ist nach rund acht Monaten auch der zweite Teil des Zensus 2022 zu Ende gegangen. Bundesweit hätten die Eigentümerinnen und Eigentümer von Wohnraum seit dem 15. Mai vergangenen Jahres 24,2 Millionen Meldungen zu Gebäuden oder Wohnungen übermittelt, teilte das Statistische Bundesamt am Dienstag in Wiesbaden mit.

Der Technologie-Unternehmer hatte 2018 im Kurzbotschaftendienst Twitter erklärt, er habe die Finanzierung für einen Rückzug des Elektroautobauers Tesla von der Börse "gesichert". Tier- und Umweltschutzverbände haben die Pläne von Bundeslandwirtschaftsminister Cem Özdmir (Grüne) für mehr Tierschutz in der Nahrungsmittelproduktion begrüßt. Der Bio-Bauernverband Bioland lobte die geplante Kennzeichnungspflicht für Schweinefleisch als "Startschuss für den dringend nötigen Umbau der Tierhaltung". Sie begründeten dies mit einer Kürzung der Erstattungsbeträge zu Jahresbeginn.

Die Windenergie auf See soll in Deutschland bis 2030 mindestens 30 Gigawatt Strom liefern - im vergangenen Jahr ist nur ein neuer Windpark mit einer Leistung von 342 Megawatt Strom ans Netz gegangen. Ende 2022 produzierten Windanlagen auf See damit 8100 Megawatt (8,1 Gigawatt) Strom, wie die Branche am Montag mitteilte. Um die 30 Gigawatt zu erreichen, seien nun einfache Investitions- und Finanzierungsbedingungen und eine große Ausbildungs- und Qualifizierungsoffensive nötig.
